Director of Development

The Director of Development is a core function of Men of Iron, responsible for increasing public understanding of Men of Iron’s mission, model and message. This person supports business and ministry strategies through developing and maintaining deep, personal relationships with key financial advocates. He is expected to develop and execute creative fundraising campaigns/events and to increase the financial support to the ministry by executing the fundraising philosophy of Men of Iron. He is to shepherd and care for the Men of Iron flock of donors, current advocates, prospective advocates and regional development team members.


  • High degree of character, competency and most importantly, a CALLING
  • Passion for men’s mentoring
  • Strong ability to connect and communicate with advocates and donors


  • 12-20 years of experience with the following:
    • Business and management experience
    • Business operations in small or large business setting with qualitative and quantitative metrics
    • Successfully leading, growing and scaling a business or business operations


  • Shepherd personality/tendencies – the ability and willingness to care and nurture the Men of Iron flock of staff, donors, advocates and regional development team
  • Leading business operations


  • 2018 – Willingness to operate in the Director of Development position with the understanding of possible promotion to Director of Operations within 12-18 months
    • Director of Operations – member of senior management team with Executive Director. These two would work hand-in-hand to grow one-on-one men’s mentorship across the country
    • Director of Operations would manage national growth of Strong27™ and Equilibrium
    • Be the face of LMA at Men of Iron – Lead, Manage and Accountability
    • Manage day-to-day operations within each department (ministry, development, HR, etc.)
    • Hiring and development of staff
