God’s Blueprint

What’s the blueprint for your life? Whoa. That’s a loaded question. I enjoy how Campbellsville University defined God’s blueprint for our lives, “He has the blueprint for our lives drawn up. He is guiding us and putting seeds in our hearts, and, like a gardener, He waters the seeds He plants within our hearts. God sees you; He hears you, and He answers your prayers. This life can be hard, but the Lord makes you stronger through trials.” The simplicity of this explanation goes a long way toward creating a foundation for the complexities of life.

How about this as a blueprint?

Romans 5:1-5, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” (NIV84)[1]

Here are some keys to the Divine blueprint:

  • Faith
  • Lord Jesus Christ
  • Peace
  • God the Father
  • Rejoice (Joy)
  • Hope
  • Suffering
  • Perseverance
  • Character
  • Hope
  • Love
  • Holy Spirit
