Good Morning!
Most of us don’t make friendships a priority. Sure, we make time to golf, fish and hunt with buddies. But do we make the experience the priority or the friendship?
Just a few days ago, we encouraged you to make friendship a priority by inviting friends into your journey and creating space for good food, good drink and better conversations.
Let’s pick up where we left off, Consider the following:
- Create memories and traditions – this is why annual adventure trips with other men are so important. Men who make memories and experience traditions together have a unique bond. You can go experience adventure in the wilderness, or you can create space to experience God together. Whatever it might be, it requires intentionality and a game plan.
- Speak blessings to each other – Do you want to blow your friends away? Then plan a special gathering of friends – assign a man to each guy and have them speak blessings over each other. Prepare everyone ahead of time. Have them write a letter to another guy and read it to him over a campfire in front of everyone. Watch God move…I promise.
All of this requires planning and intentionality.
But if you don’t do it, then who will?
Session 3 is done, men. What are your 2-3 FRIENDS goals/action steps? Share them with your mentor, protégé, micro group or small group. If you’re flying solo on this challenge, then be sure to post them on A Men of Iron Community on Facebook.
Stay tuned for Session 4 – FITNESS.
With Gratitude,
