Find a Friend

Another way, that you can set yourself up for success is to invite someone into the start of your fitness journey. At Men of Iron, we talk about our CORE5 ,Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, and Finances. To get started in fitness, it always awesome, when we can combine a couple of these F’s. So, start by reaching out to one of your friends you maybe haven’t seen in a while and just invite them into this. Just say, “Hey, I am starting this new plan on for my fitness and would love to have you join me on this journey.”  Or invite your family into it as well, start getting some more quality time with your wife or girlfriend by working out together or going on walks together. Or go out in the yard with your kids and do something active with them. Some of my best memories as a kid are me jumping on the trampoline and getting my dad to throw me a football as I dove to try to catch it.

By inviting others into your fitness journey, you are also increasing your accountability.

In Hebrews 10:24-25 reads, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Invite a friend. Invite your family. Build your life.
