Five Practical Tips to Setting Your 2025 Goals
When it comes to goal setting at Men of Iron we want you to think about this acronym, S.M.A.R.T. It stands for specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound. When you are thinking about what goals you want to accomplish in 2025, start with the first “F” in the CORE5, faith.
You don’t want to do anything that God isn’t a part of.
We must always consider God’s will and guidance when making decisions, ensuring that our actions align with our beliefs. It all starts with your faith. Start by evaluating your relationship with God right now on a scale of 1 (worst) to 5 (best). If things aren’t going great, and even if they are, faith goals should be at the forefront of all that you want to pursue in 2025.
Here are 5 practical tips to setting your 2025 goals:
1. Use the CORE5 model – Evaluate your life and determine your goals – faith, family, friends, fitness, finances. Evaluate each F and determine where you need the most work. Start by establishing a solid foundation, faith.
2. Make your goals S.M.A.R.T. – Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound
3. Get away – Don’t sit down and write out goals just for the sake of setting goals. Find a quiet space. Pray. Seek God and invite Him into the process.
4. Get accountable – Share your plan with your wife, mentor, brother or close friend.
5. Execute – Anyone can sit down and write down goals. Planning is easy. Executing is difficult. Execution is the difference between diligence and mediocrity.
A new year means new goals, new dreams and new desires. A new year gives opportunity to a fresh start. It gives opportunity to get back on the right track and to make things right. Let’s get after it in 2025!
