God is For You

The hurt is real. The healing process can be long. It feels like it really shouldn’t happen to you and yet there you are. Church hurt is all too prevalent.

There are some studies that say as high as 60% of Christians and 30% of non-Christians have been hurt by a leader or person within the church.

If these numbers are accurate, then this is a staggering display of the fallacy of man. 

God has designed the church to be a place where we encounter Him. A place where we travel through life’s journey with other broken people as we pursue His purpose in each one of us. We are broken people heading down the redemption path. We want everyone we are journeying with to be for us and to help us on the pathway ahead. When we are being cared for by people and we get our focus more on the ones leading us to Jesus, as opposed to Jesus Himself, we are already heading towards being let down. 

I want to believe that all church leaders are for us, but I absolutely KNOW that Jesus is. He is our advocate, sitting by the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf. He knows the plans and purpose for your life. He is the one orchestrating the cosmos to help you learn and grow as you journey through this life.  Love your church community but know that Jesus is the only one 100% for you.

Keep Him in his rightful position in your life.
