Healing From A Broken Relationship

There are a lot of mysteries in this world but one thing that I think we can all agree on is that when two people have a relationship, there can be deep joy and love but there can also be hurt and pain.

Relationships are a vital part of being a Christ Follower.

Jesus was once asked what the most important commandment was. He answered, the first is to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself.

If you are an adult, chances are you’ve been hurt by a person you were in a relationship with. Depending on that relationship, the hurt can linger and if you don’t properly recover from it, you can carry wounds into all your other relationships.

That’s why we’re talking about this subject today. A small step that you can take if you are trying to heal from a broken relationship is to take the focus off yourself and evaluate where you are with God. Do you put Him at the proper place in your life?

In Proverbs 18:24 it says that as a Christian, we have a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

God is for you and wants to get you out of that season of hurting.

Let Him know what you’re feeling. Ask Him what you can do to start the process.

If you earnestly seek Him, you will find Him and He is the best advocate you have. He wants you to recover from that brokenness more than you do. Do this as a first step and see how He responds.
