The Men of Iron Minute

How Men of Iron Transformed My Life
In 2012, during a men’s breakfast at GT Church in West Lawn, PA Jared was first introduced to Men of Iron. At that point in his life he found himself just going through the motions, struggling with his marriage and struggling with his identity in God. The men’s breakfast was perfect timing. He immediately signed up to be a protege.
“God wants more than just someone to go through the motions. Being a protege in Men of Iron was tough at first, but like any other habitual motion I needed to grow and give it time. It was comforting to have that challenge.”
Having a mentor, a man in your corner that will hold you accountable, challenge you, and help you grow is exactly what Jared needed. He was at a point in his life where he didn’t take his role as a man and as a husband seriously. He describes it as “coasting through life.”
“The most rewarding thing about my time in Men of Iron was looking back on my 12 months and seeing how much I had grown as a man. I always envisioned being a man who led his wife and family spiritually, I just never took the steps to actually live that calling out. Until now.”
At Men of Iron our desire is that every man would quit “coasting through life” and discover their identity and role as a man of God. Men like Jared are changing a culture.
This week on the podcast we sit down with Pete Rodriguez as he talks about the difficulty of growing up without a present father.
