Living in the Victory
Super Bowl Sunday’s sermon began with a powerful statement:
“Every moment of our lives is a big moment.”
It grabbed my attention as I looked over at my girls and felt the weight of that statement. More than a statement, it’s a mindset—one that made me think, “Do I truly believe this?”
Big moments shape our lives. They bring success or failure, joy or sorrow, love or emptiness. They demand choices that carry real consequences. That pressure, especially as a husband and father, can feel overwhelming. Every day presents challenges, and every decision impacts those around us.
Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 that while every moment is significant, the pressure is off—because the victory is already won. He paints the picture of a Roman triumphal procession, where a victorious general leads his army in celebration.
In Christ, we march in that same victory.
No matter what life throws at you, Jesus has won. You are triumphant in Him. Every moment matters, not because of pressure, but because of promise. The victory is yours—so walk in it.
