SHOW NOTES:

    • Tony Galati joins the pod for the month of October as we start our series on Accountability
    • What is accountability?
    • Accountability is the idea that someone is responsible for their actions and will face consequences if they choose unfavorable actions
    • It’s the practice of being held to a certain standard of excellence
    • Do you want that or do you run from it?
    • “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NIV)
    • In a good partnership, two can accomplish more than each one individually – the sum will be greater than the parts
    •  “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
    • “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)
    • Accountability is important to stay sharp, to stay on point

    • Without accountability we often succumb to what is easy and complacent
    • Choosing godly accountability is choosing to have the blind spots in your life strengthened
