Thank You Garret!

Our mission at Men of Iron is to change a culture one man at a time. For the past eleven years, Garret Barbush has worked alongside our tremendous team to accomplish just that. We’ve seen thousands of men impacted, and their testimonies speak of lives changed for eternity.

Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us of the many seasons of life and work. It is with honor, excitement and, of course, a bit of sadness, that we share Garret’s season with Men of Iron will close at the end of January.

A Word from Garret:

Leaving something you are passionate about is never easy, but when God aligns your next steps, He gives you the courage and vision to move forward. I’m grateful for this opportunity to share some of that journey with you.

In January 2022, I began conversations with the Men of Iron Board of Directors I felt “unsettled” and sensed the Holy Spirit revealing new plans for me. The board advised me to be ‘strategically still’ for a few months. Eden and I began to pray for clarity. Eden’s prayer was specific – either I stay at Men of Iron, or a new assignment would present itself.

Within a three-week stretch, four new opportunities presented themselves- that’s a lot of clarity! I couldn’t comprehend leaving, but it was hard to ignore God’s answer and confirmations to our prayers. When I shared my decision with the board, they responded with patience, love, and support.

I’m excited to join BCF Group (www.bcfgroup.net) as their Vice President, tasked with assisting in their business development and growth. Yes, I will continue mentoring, leading retreats, and advocating for Men of Iron! I am a better man because of Men of Iron, and it will always be important to me.

I want to thank Bryan Zeamer and our board of directors and staff for their unprecedented encouragement. These men are friends and mentors. Most importantly, they are men of God whom I trust and love. Finally, I want to thank each of you. God gets all the glory for the impact made since Men of Iron’s inception in 2006, and He gets all the glory for the great things he will continue to do. I look forward to our paths crossing in the future.

In Christ,
Garret

In the same way you can see God’s fingerprints throughout Garret’s letter, God has also been at work within our Men of Iron team in incredible ways. We are extremely excited for all that He has prepared for us in 2023.

After a thorough process, we are proud to announce that Jeff Reimold will be stepping into the role of Chief Executive Mentor. During his seven months with us, he has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, a pure desire to pursue God, and a passion to call men up to their God given purpose.

Additionally, we are in a scaling year. We will be hiring six new employees in 2023 as we chase after all that God has for us (if you’d like more information email jeff@menofiron.org). Our desire to change a culture one man at a time burns as brightly today as it did in 2006 when Bryan first took action in pursuing this amazing calling. We would appreciate your prayers as we continue this amazing journey.
