The Ripple Effects of Mentorship

This week on the podcast we sit down with Men of Iron advocate Maddy Barbush as she shares why she supports Men of Iron.

We talk a lot about our mission at Men of Iron. Changing a culture, ONE MAN AT A TIME. The amazing thing we have seen over the years is how that one man’s culture is so greatly impacted by his intentionality to be better. Not only does the man become a better man, but his wife is impacted, his kids are impacted and his workplace is impacted.

“When a man gets it right, it positively affects his family.” – Maddy Barbush

Maddy shared on EP. 270 how much of an impact her dad’s mentorship had on her and her family. The ripple effect from generation to generation. Like a handful of stones tossed into a still pond. The ripples from each pebble expand outward and outward. The still pond is now alive and moving. That’s the effect one man can have on his culture when he commits to being a better man. The ripples reach out to his wife, kids, and friends.

I’ve seen it play out in my own life. My dad’s decision to pursue Jesus and be the best husband and father he could be has impacted me to want to do the same. And he was impacted to live and lead that way by his father.

Maybe you are reading this and you feel as if the still pond is just that, still. You desperately want to create a ripple effect that impacts your wife, kids and grandkids. Now is the time to take that leap of faith and be all that God is called you to be. If you need help taking that next step, we would love to be a resource.
