Who’s In Your Hall of Fame?
This Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday, confetti will fall from the rafters as a new NFL Champion is crowned. GO BIRDS! For an NFL player their career is often what defines their legacy, at least in the public eye. But legacy is much more than what you do on the field, it’s about Winning off the Field as well.
We wrote a blog a few years ago titled, Hall of Fame, where we thought through who would be in our personal hall of fame
Not all legacies are built on stadium lights and championship rings. Some are built quietly, through lives of service, sacrifice, and integrity. The most impactful figures are often those who invest in others—not for accolades but for the simple joy of making a difference. These are the people whose influence stands the test of time, shaping lives through their deeds rather than their words.
Beyond sports, the idea of a Hall of Fame extends into everyday life. If you were to think through your personal Hall of Fame, who would belong in it?
For me immediately I think of my dad. He epitomized a life of service, sacrifice, and integrity. My dad passed away in 2020, but his legacy continues to live on in the lives he impacted. His legacy will live on in my life and my kid’s lives. My dad is at the top of the list when I think of my personal Hall of Fame.
Much like we are able to watch these athletic giants play in an arena, we too are being watched and cheered on by the Saints before us. As we read in Hebrews 12:1-2.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” — Hebrews 12:1-2
These Heavenly Hall of Fame giants are cheering us on, what a beautiful thing to think about. I think of my dad cheering me on as I continue on his legacy. Today, remember the Hall of Famers who have impacted you so greatly, and strive to be a Hall of Famer for your wife, kids, and community.
