Good Morning!
Everything we have comes from God. He is our provider.
But do you really believe this?
We need to take ownership of our finances and be willing to do the hard work, but It takes a wild amount of faith to truly believe God is going to show up and provide – especially when you need Him most.
It makes us think of Abraham – the “Father of Faith.” Take some extended time to read his story (Genesis 11 – 25). This is a man who was willing to adventure into the unknown. He was a wild man! Abraham was a man’s man!
God invites him to depart his hometown and to go into a land he had never seen. What does Abraham do? He trusted God and goes on one of the wildest adventures of his life. God didn’t give him the details – he simply said, “Go.” And Abraham went. It wasn’t easy, but God provided for Abraham and blessed him in many ways because he was so faithful.
We all need to be more like Abraham. Men need to understand this…
That God is the only Provider, and our duty is to have faith that He will provide. Yes, we must take responsibility to work hard, but we can’t be self-reliant. Abraham was the father of faith because he fully understood that God is the source of all things.
Men – the skills, intelligence and gifts we use to earn income – it’s all from the Lord. God entrusts us to use them wisely and to fully acknowledge that what we’ve been given is all His. We must be good stewards of His blessings.
You have a few days left to finalize your 2-3 FINANCES goals/action steps. Share your thoughts with a mentor, protégé, micro group or small group. If you’re flying solo on this challenge, then post your thoughts on A Men of Iron Community on Facebook.
With Gratitude,
