Good Morning!

At Men of Iron, our experience is that friendships take a back seat for men because we don’t know what to do with the ones we have.

Consider the following:

  1. Invite friends into your journey – Identify ways to invite men into your journey. From there, look for opportunities to love them, challenge them and promote them into a greater level of leadershipIf you would like to be invited into someone else’s journey, then recruit a mentor – go ask another man to mentor you and communicate your desire to learn from him.

  1. Create space to have good food, good drink and better conversations – Ecclesiastes 8:15 says, “So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.” A change in pace + change in place = a change in perspective. This happens most effectively when we incorporate food, drink and authentic conversations.

We’ll share the final two steps soon. For now, continue talking about your 2-3 FRIENDS goals/action steps. Share your thoughts with a mentor, protégé, micro group or small group. If you’re flying solo on this challenge, then be sure to post them on A Men of Iron Community on Facebook.

With Gratitude,
